[TuxOnIce-users] tuxonice PPA: how to *avoid* replacing tuxonice kernel with a vanilla kernel?

Hi Martin,

Thank you so much for your reply. I just noticed that I had accidentally cut past of the last email I sent to the list (finicky touchpad...).

Regarding the pm-utils, what I meant was that when I close the lid of my computer or press the power button, it seems that by default Ubuntu passes on the instructions to hibernate to some part of the pm-utils package. 

I was under the impression that I should *not* use the pm-* programs when using TuxOnIce to hibernate; or is it ok to use them together? Eg., will the configuration I set in /etc/hibernate/* be honored if I hibernate by calling pm-hibernate rather than running ToI's hibernate program?
