I believe it works for some, but not others.

I upgraded from a 2.6.31.6 kernel running 3.0.1 with over 115 suspend/resume cycles, but this 
configuration won't resume even once for me. I'm still running the 2.6.33-rc5 kernel, but I've not 
needed to relocate the machine yet. Tomorrow when I need to suspend I'll shut down and boot into the 
working kernel.

If you do upgrade, and it doesn't work, it'll be another data point to help Nigel track it down I guess.
