Hi,
I read through a previous post that a hang on atomic_copy was solved in 2.6.30-rc7 head branch.
Unfortunately I’m using tuxonice-3.0.1-for-2.6.26.patch and I got a hang on call to atomic_copy, while resuming.
I previously used this patch (tuxonice-3.0.1-for-2.6.26.patch) on one machine and it worked from hibernation to resumption. However, when I tried to apply this patch to another machine, a hang happened during resume:
- During hibernation (suspend-to-disk), all seems to work well.
- But upon resume, I got a hang on call to atomic_copy (especially on call to suspend_console). I tried to patch printk.c (using version from 2.6.30), but still I got a hang.
I tried "no_console_suspend" as kernel boot parameter, but got kernel-oops upon swsusp_arch_resume.
I also tried commenting out suspend_console/resume_console, but got a hang on call to device_suspend() on TuxOnIce resume.
I compiled with minimum drivers (only MTD NAND and IDE support for compact flash - where hibernation file is stored).
Guess I need to consult the experts :)
Many thanks in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Larry
