[TuxOnIce-devel] Bad error handling with unusable swap partition

Hi folks,

at some time tuxonice stopped working for me. Every suspend attempt
hang before the image was saved. First I thought that 3.0-rc5 was
buggy, but then I noticed that it also happens with older versions.
Then I thought that some usespace stuff fails, and just used suspend to
RAM for a while. Now I had time to look at it again, and found out that
I just had to do a mkswap on the swap partition.

Shouldn't there be a better error handling for this case? Or at least a
sensible error message? I also think that Tuxonice should be able to
recover from that error condition and abort the suspend cycle. In my
case, the system just hang with some unrelated freezer message and I
had to trigger a reboot.

Regards,
Tino
