hi nigel,

tested with it 2.6.24.1 to see whether the write-getting-stuck bug was 
gone. it seems to have fixed that (did a couple of suspend--resume 
cycles now without hitting it). but...resuming from RAM reliably gets 
stuck on "reading caches"; it manages to read most of the stuff back in 
but the last 7MB or so are never getting through it seems. hard 
power-off and restart then resumes from disk and suceeds!

TuxOnIce debugging info:
- TuxOnIce core  : 3.0-rc5.4
- Kernel Version : 2.6.24.1
- Compiler vers. : 4.1
- Attempt number : 4
- Parameters     : 0 573456 0 1 0 3
- Overall expected compression percentage: 0.
- Compressor is 'lzf'.
  Compressed 1547530240 bytes into 839962041 (45 percent compression).
- Max outstanding reads 20225. Max writes 633.
  Memory_needed: 2048 x (4096 + 188 + 68) = 8912896 bytes.
  While reading:
  Mutex contended : 0 0.
  Mutex free      : 0 377815.
  While writing:
  Mutex contended : 0 0.
  Mutex free      : 0 377815.
  Readahead target got to 24288.
- SwapAllocator active.
  Swap available for image: 1219322 pages.
- FileAllocator inactive.
- I/O speed: Write 80 MB/s, Read 94 MB/s.
- Extra pages    : -192 used/500.

any clues?
