Hi everyone.
Rc9 is now available from:
http://suspend2.net/downloads/all/suspend2-2.2-rc9-for-2.6.14.tar.bz2
This version is the first to include support for a userspace storage
manager ('usm'), a new component, along the lines of the userspace user
interface that will be used to help with suspending to network storage.
At the moment, no usms have been released.
I had hoped to introduce support for discontiguous memory in this
release, but it's not working yet, so I've left it out. Lord willing, it
will be in rc10.
Apart from this, rc9 is just more of the same - as it ought to be - bug
fixes and cleanups.
One IMPORTANT WARNING: If you're using the filewriter, I strongly
suggest that you only use it on direct devices (/dev/xxx) or ext2 or
ext3 filesystems. Corruption problems with xfs have been reported, and
I've discovered that I have some work to do in the area of block size
handling there. Don't use the filewriter on xfs unless you want to shred
your data. You have been warned!
